Safari Lodges in Uganda’s Mburo

Cozy Lake Mburo lodges are found inside the park. Many tourists choose to spend a night in Mburo to reduce the long distance to Uganda’s popular parks, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Kigambira Safari Lodge – Lake Mburo

This fine-looking safari lodge is found south of the park between Rubanga forest and Lake Kigambira. River Rwizi is also south of the lodge.

Staying at this luxury eco-lodge lets you enjoy spectacular views of the park, Kigambira lake and wildlife. Some of the animals that visit the lodge are impala, warthogs, birds, bushpigs, buffalo, and zebra, to name but a few.

While at the lodge, you can hike to Rubanga forest for birding, take a boat trip, and go on a game drive, too. The lodge has an awesome souvenir shop for those planning to buy souvenirs. Those staying at the lodge can also immerse themselves in the unique Banyankole culture by visiting local homesteads to see the Ankole long-horned cattle.

Kigambira Lodge has 2 family bandas, 9 deluxe bandas, and 1 honeymoon suite, making a total of 12 bandas.

Arcadia Lodge lake Mburo is 2 kilometers from the park headquarters in Rwonyo.

Arcadia is one of the top mid-range places to stay when in Lake Mburo. The lodge has single, double, twin, and family cottages.

Arcadia Lodge in Lake Mburo rates are $120 to $280 per person per night.

Rwonyo Rest Camp

Some of the budget Lake Mburo lodges include Rwonyo Rest Camp. Standing tents and bandas are at this facility operated by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). You can pitch your tent near the Mburo lakeside in Rwonyo.
